Yesterday night, I watched Kill Bill (the first volume) and man, was I sorry that I waited so long to watch this masterpiece of a movie! No, it's not the best movie ever made... But it is the coolest movie I've ever watched by far. It was almost like Tarantino took Japanese anime and made it into a real-life movie with all the works.

Usually, movies with excessive amounts of violence are tasteless and just too gruesome for my liking. Yeah, I'll admit that some of the violence in the movie was gratuitous, but a lot of it was simply a work of art. The creativity put forth simply blew me away... I mean, when have you ever seen a person finished off the way Lucy Liu's character O-Ren Ishii was?

The humor throughout the movie was another aspect that I enjoyed. It was that weird type of humor where you don't know whether or not you're supposed to laugh, but you laugh anyways. It's sort of that random, awkward kind of funny that I cherish in my "heart of hearts." (Heh heh...)

Quite possibly my favorite line in the movie:

O-Ren Ishii starts, "Silly rabbit," a statement the bride completes, "Trix are for kids."

Wow.
